Children’s Ministry

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

While the world today has become so very dangerous for children—our church vision for children is to protect and raise them up to be godly boys and girls. As this world tries to pervert their identity (even confusing their gender) prayerfully and by grace we will see them become young men and women who are devoted disciples of Messiah Jesus!

Thankfully, we have two ladies that are highly qualified to oversee our children’s ministry. Both have a great deal of training and experience with children and we are tremendously blessed to have them in our church!

Emma Jensen
Children’s Ministry Coordinator

At age 7, Emma accepted Christ and was baptized in the church she grew up at. As a high schooler though, she truly took ownership of her faith and relationship with Christ. She grew up in Pearland, attended San Jacinto Community College and then the University of Houston.

Emma has had a passion for working with and serving children since a young age. Growing up in church, she served in many different children ministry roles including babies, toddlers, VBS, and other special events. As an adult, she worked for the YMCA of Greater Houston as a childcare director and gained more knowledge and a deeper passion for child development. After the birth of her son in 2018, she decided to step away from her job to focus on raising her son. In 2021, she served on the childcare staff at Sagemont Church. She is now looking forward to serving children at Calvary Chapel WTCF.

Emma truly believes in cultivating a warm and welcoming environment where children can feel safe, enjoy learning, and develop lifelong social and emotional skills in a Christ centered space.

Mary Walker

Mary Walker has a passion to see our nation evangelized and discipled. In November 2010, she asked the Lord what He wanted her to do, and she believes that He led her in her spirit to link up with Child Evangelism Fellowship to reach children and tell them about Jesus and His love for them. Since 2014, Mary has served in the SE Houston area for Child Evangelism Fellowship coordinating Bible studies and teaching children. Recently, the door opened for her also to reach kids through Calvary Chapel Watch Therefore Community Fellowship.

As a previous coordinator for the Jesus Video Project of Texas, Sunday School teacher, National Day of Prayer coordinator, and children's Bible study leader, Mary is using her God given gifts to help reach others. She has a passion for kids to understand that God's Word is true, and that Jesus truly loves them with an everlasting love, that He paid the price for their sins and died and rose again, and that He wants to have a relationship with them now and forever.

Mary is blessed with 4 grown children -- Brandy, Bobby, Brad, and Rob and their families, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
